Senior Ruby Programmer/Architect

Description:

A Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Architect to lead the continued development and iteration of our world-class application.

Required skills:

The ideal candidate must have:
• Strong Ruby skills
• Deep understanding of Rails
• Built and deployed commercial RoR applications
• Strength in all the Rails fundamentals (routing, active record, migrations, etc.)
• A demonstrable knowledge of Javascript and CSS
• Experience with user-centered interaction design
• Strong scripting skills
• MySQL skills
• Command of common and web based protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SSH, SFTP
• Database skills such as writing queries, making indexes, and knowing more than just ActiveRecord
• Cloud services such as Amazon EC2 and S3
• The ability to lead outsourced developers for appropriate tasks and general site maintenance
• Knowledge and experience with general IT infrastructure needs
