Do you have a Passion for Open Source? Demonstrational experience of Ruby on Rails (Ruby / ROR)? Do you get excited about creating the right solution? Enjoy working on varied and creative Open Source projects? Want to make an impact and be valued? Then this is the position for you!

Looking for a gem of a Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer (MVC Framework experience will be considered) to join an established, small and passionate Open Source software house. Working in a small close-knit team of Open Source followers you will be given direct responsibility developing new web features and functionality, including improvements, maintenance and updates.

You must have real-world (commercial) and demonstrable experience developing and deploying Ruby on websites. Ideally with a background in web development. You must have an Open Source passion and have a drive to problem solve and look outside the box when troubleshooting. As you will be joining a small team, you must be flexible to take on additional tasks when required.

Any experience of the following would be useful – but Ruby is the Gem in this treasure trove : Javascript, AJAX, Javascript frameworks (MooTools, jQuery, Prototype), HAML, SASS.

Any one who has contributed to Open Source, has Sourceforge or Google Summer of Code experience will also be of interest.

£28-35k + share options + pension + free tea and coffee + fun/social events
