ROR - Social Networking Contract !!

We have a contract position for a social network application developer.

Ideally the person we’re looking for is smart and self-motivated – you love to code. Looking for people who have developed some killer web apps!

Some of the skills and types of work experience we’re looking for:
- Heavily object-oriented PHP experience, preferably in PHP5. 2+ years is preferred.
- Experience with Social Networking (like Facebook/OpenSocial applications)

At minimum, this could be a 4-6 month contract, most likely even longer. Location is Palo Alto area working for a awesome company in the music industry. Partly onsite and offsite work.

Required skills:

Ruby on Rails
PHP5
JavaScript
Python
Java

Desired skills:

People who have coded personal projects or have contributed to open source projects.
Have worked at, or is highly familiar with a social networking companies or digital media companies, preferably at the early stages.
Capable and comfortable with taking the lead on a project and seeing it through to completion, whether by themselves or within a team environment.
Basically we need people who can finish things without the need for constant guidance, and we give our team members a lot of flexibility with how they build their projects.
